Mr. Downs brings extensive knowledge in public works, hospitals, and educational institutions.
Newport Beach, CA –JOA, a leading provider of project and construction management in Southern California, is pleased to announce the addition of Dennis Downs to its executive team. With over twenty-five years of construction-related experience, Mr. Downs possesses a broad knowledge and expertise in both project and construction management.
Mr. Downs has managed multimillion-dollar projects for public works, hospitals, and educational institutions among others. His experience includes OSHPD, DSA, and GSA requirements, as well as contract administration, cost control, critical path delivery methods, job order contracting, material selection, and various project management control software programs.
Mr. Downs’ first role at JOA will be to work with John Wayne Airport, managing ongoing maintenance projects for the airport facility.
Prior to joining JOA, Mr. Downs was a Senior Program Manager for The Gordian Group where he was responsible for managing client and project performance, client relationships, and ensuring program retention. Mr. Downs also provided comprehensive external and internal communication to facilitate positive relations, conflict resolution, and contract negotiation between clients, agencies, and contracting firms.
